I'm Maka, event and family photographer based in Connecticut

I photograph the moments people don't realize they'll miss until years later. Moments that unfold naturally—a laugh shared across the table, a child lost in play, a crowded dance floor, a quiet glance between family members.

As a mother of three and a lifelong observer of people, I've always been drawn to the stories happening around us. My approach is documentary at heart: I've always been less interested in perfect smiles and more interested in the way families actually love one another.

Tbilisi

Growing up in Tbilisi, Georgia taught me two things: to appreciate centuries old architecture, and to keep up with a Georgian celebration. To this day, I still love photographing both: quiet details and joyful chaos.

Three Kids

I'm raising three wonderfully different children, who remind me daily that the best photographs - and the best moments - are ones that nobody planned.

Community

I've been fortunate to belong to many different communities throughout my life, and I've come to appreciate how each one has its own traditions, rhythms, and way of celebrating. I love when people gather—not just for an event, but to honor one another, welcome a new generation, or simply spend time together. It's a privilege to document those stories.

Favorite Day at Work

If children are climbing trees, chasing each other, or completely ignoring me... I'm probably having a wonderful session.

KIND WORDS

Maka was so wonderful to work with! She made the entire photoshoot feel effortless and fun. The girls got to showcase their personalities without feeling like they had to perform or pose. We got so many great photos it was hard to pick just one for our family holiday card! Now we have this beautiful digital album thanks to the way Maka weaved through our fall day at the park. We can’t wait to do another photo shoot soon. Highly recommend booking in advance because she’s already so busy with all her clients!

Robyn Silverman

My approach is calm and unobtrusive. Rather than directing every moment, I create space for people to be themselves while gently guiding them when needed. The result is a collection of images that feels genuine and uniquely yours.

Every gallery I deliver is carefully curated to tell the story of the day from beginning to end. From the smallest details to the biggest celebrations, I want you to relive not only how everything looked, but how it felt.
